About The Position
Aspire Rural Health System is seeking an Authorization Specialist. We are looking for those who have a great attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals who are constantly striving to provide the highest quality of services for our patients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Nice To Haves
- MA preferred
- Previous healthcare, medical office, insurance verification, referral, scheduling, or prior authorization experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance requirements preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records and insurance payer portals preferred
Responsibilities
- Managing insurance verification, prior authorizations, and referrals for primary care and specialty physician offices.
- Works closely with providers, clinical staff, scheduling teams, insurance companies, patients, and outside healthcare organizations to ensure patients receive timely access to needed services.
