The Verification/Auth Specialist may be responsible for all office duties, including verifying all accepted payers, obtaining authorization for all payers that require authorization, charting, phone calls, and patient scheduling. These support professionals are typically the first point of contact with intake/clinical staff, greeting them and taking initial information, which may include contact, referral, and insurance information. The role involves working indoors in an office space and is supervised by the Director of Verification and Authorizations. The position is considered low risk, but may require the ability to participate in physical activity, work for extended periods while sitting, standing, or being involved in physical activity, moderate lifting, and moderate bending, lifting, and standing on a regular basis.
