About The Position
The auditor is responsible for conducting sampling inspection of components before release for shipment and at key production processes. Ability to review job travelers, drawings, control plans, and other documented specifications for product requirements and to ensure conformance to those specifications. Auditors will check rubber parts for cracks and inconsistencies and ensure that all products are acceptable for customers with the use of a microscope, magnifying glass, and various other hand tools such as tweezers and scissors.
Responsibilities
- Perform a final audit of inspected manufactured products for conformance to specifications.
- Separate components with defects, including but not limited to cracks, marks, holes, tears, and contamination.
- Notify the supervisor of excessive defects on any particular component.
- Document accepted/rejected counts on product paperwork.
- Speak to others to convey information effectively.
- Use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions to problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
