Requirements

  • Good understanding of SPC and data presentation.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Basic understanding of Control Plans, PFMEA, etc.
  • Auditing experience.
  • Strong math background.
  • Solid computer background including data entry.
  • Understanding of process flow and standardized work instructions.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks with little supervision.
  • Experience with containment process.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and consistency/accurate reporting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize inspection workload.
  • Compliance with the attendance and disciplinary policies.
  • Proficient in the use of mechanical inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, go/no go gages, and other mechanical inspection equipment is required.
  • Ability to pass Vision Test.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer five years experience with injection molding process and parts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned department audits including process, product, and 3-phase or layered process audits.
  • Review and approve 1st Off parts.
  • Able to always focus on MPO product quality throughout the shift.
  • Understand MPO quality and impact/results of downstream operations/customers.
  • Provide quality direction and disposition to operators and direct support/communication with area supervisors to acknowledge and inform them of any issues within the process.
  • Provide downstream quality support for molded products.
  • Assist with downstream operation communication.
  • Lead and guide employees through standards and instructions to always improve quality awareness.
  • Review, update, or create Job/Work Instructions.
  • Create, update, and revise Quality Alerts (QA) and Temporary Process Memos (TPM) in support of daily operations.
  • Recommend/implement/assist process improvements.
  • Help with customer corrective action plan development.
  • Responsible for execution of Sort and Containment Process of molded product.
  • Responsible for gauging of molded product to assure quality requirements are maintained.
