About The Position

The Department of the Auditor General (DAG) is seeking motivated self-starting individuals to join their team of fiscal watchdogs. This position is eligible for student loan forgiveness and provides excellent health, savings, and retirement benefits. The role involves learning how government funds are used and supporting fairness and accuracy, with the ultimate benefit of making the community stronger. As an Auditor 1 within the Bureau of County Audits - District Court and Row Offices, the primary responsibility is to ensure fines, fees, taxes, and other payments are properly assessed and sent to the correct state agencies. This involves learning audit standards, reviewing financial records, and supporting accurate reporting.

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited college/university with an area of concentration in accounting, business, data analytics, finance, economics, math, or a closely related field; or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, business, data analytics, finance, economics, math, or a closely related field; or An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training in accounting, auditing, or a closely related field.
• Possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
• Able to perform essential job functions.
