About The Position

Audit Technicians assist the audit team by providing basic audit testing and documentation services for clients. Audit Technician may also be asked to prepare workpapers and schedules for audit engagements. An Audit Technician generally assists or performs professional services for clients, but is not a licensed professional such as a CPA or EA.

Requirements

  • Good math and analytical thinking skills.
  • Willing to travel extensively.
  • Good grasp of Microsoft Word and Excel apps.
  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Experience with Excel and Word.
  • Possession of strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned task as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
  • Able to work effectively with principals, team members, and clients.
  • Able to follow instructs, and read, write and communicate clearly in English.
  • Requires physical ability to sit and type for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • A higher level of education such as an A.A. or A.S. is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Complete understanding and compliance with the firm's policies and procedures.
  • Perform testing of client records under direction and supervision of auditor.
  • Prepare or complete audit workpapers, including trial balances, depreciation schedules, and debt amortization schedules.
  • Record results of audit test.
  • Monitor in-house and external deadlines to ensure compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the firm's principals or audit team members.
