August 2027 Audit Staff - Austin
About The Position
As an Audit Staff at Cherry Bekaert, you will work on a wide variety of audit engagements under the supervision of different accounting professionals. You will engage and serve clients from various industries, communicate with project in-charges and clients, and develop technical accounting skills while performing audits of financial statements. Your responsibilities will include preparing audit checklists, adjusting journal entries, gaining business writing experience by preparing financial statements alongside clients, and preparing and organizing workpapers for client files. You will also perform other essential duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- CPA certified or the eligibility to work toward obtaining a CPA license
- Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel
- Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime required during certain business cycles
- Eligibility to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Masters degree preferred
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required
