Audit Seniors at BiggsKofford experience working directly with small business owners and executive leadership of the organizations to report on what matters most to them. Candidates for this position should have a desire to consult with clients on many aspects of their business or organization, well beyond the audit engagement. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2+ years of accounting firm audit experience
  • CPA license or actively in process
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft programs
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented

Responsibilities

  • Perform audit, review, or compilation procedures for clients
  • Perform effective risk and internal control assessments and audit planning
  • Responsible for all engagement phases, including planning, fieldwork, financial statement and report preparation, and delivery
  • Review staff work, prepare high-risk audit sections, and draft financial statements
  • Provide financial and business analysis post-fieldwork to improve client controls and procedures
  • Collect and analyze client information to solve problems and meet deadlines
  • Train and delegate tasks to staff based on availability and experience
  • Conduct fieldwork at client locations and for remote clients
  • Meet assigned deadlines or budgets and demonstrate proactive communication regarding such
