About The Position
CLA is hiring an Audit & Assurance Senior to join its Central Texas Retail team. The role serves retail clients and offers the opportunity to develop specialized expertise in this niche area. This is an in-office position based in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, or Fort Worth. The position supports a Department of Defense (DoD) contract and requires U.S. citizenship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of public accounting audit experience, including financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations.
- U.S. citizenship, as required for the supporting Department of Defense contract.
- Ability to travel to client sites, with infrequent overnight travel potentially required.
Nice To Haves
- Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.
- Prior experience with an established public accounting or professional services firm.
Responsibilities
- Execute and manage day-to-day retail audit engagement activities from start to finish, including managing budgets, planning, fieldwork, directing staff, and completing financial statements and related disclosures.
- Review clients’ accounting and operating procedures.
- Develop and assess the design and implementation of internal controls.
- Prepare financial statements, related disclosures, and reportable-condition correspondence letters.
- Communicate technical matters proactively and effectively with staff, management, and clients.
