About The Position
Schultheis & Panettieri, LLP, a growing midsize CPA firm specializing in audits of labor unions and their related fringe benefit funds, is seeking an experienced Audit Manager focused on quality control. The firm has offices in Hauppauge, New York; Iselin, New Jersey; and Floral Park, New York. This position requires a CPA license and may be full-time or part-time. The role includes busy-season hour requirements. The firm describes its work environment as supportive of work/life balance and offers remote capability and a flexible work schedule.
Requirements
- CPA license.
- At least 10 years of progressively challenging public accounting experience.
- Ability to research complex accounting and auditing issues.
- Time management skills.
- Attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed reviews of engagements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Review tax returns, including Forms 990, LM-2, and 5500.
- Serve as a firm resource for researching technical issues involving complex accounting, auditing, and other regulatory matters.
- Prepare position papers and implementation guidance concerning newly issued technical pronouncements.
