About The Position

Wipfli is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounting Manager to serve its growing healthcare practice, with a primary focus on clients located in California and heavily focused on senior living clients. The role is ideal for a manager passionate about the senior living industry, values strong client relationships, and is energized by serving new clients. While the position is not required to work from the Wipfli office day to day, the successful candidate will be based in California and comfortable engaging with clients and prospects across the state.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • CPA certification required
  • Requires at least five years of job related experience in public accounting
  • Requires prior supervisory experience

Nice To Haves

  • CCIFP Certification preferred
  • Construction industry experience in private and/or public required

Responsibilities

  • Manage audit, review, compilation engagements, and multiple teams.
  • Provide performance feedback to all members of those teams when engagements end.
  • Partner with Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners in risk assessment, audit procedures, and reporting.
  • Oversee daily operations of the audit engagement, including staffing, planning, budgeting, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and conclusion.
  • Research and communicate guidance on complex accounting matters and transactions.
  • Assist clients with GAAP compliance and the adoption of FASB Accounting Standard Updates.
  • Address client concerns and resolve problems as they arise while communicating proactively and promptly.
  • Serve as an instructor in the firm, department training programs, and meetings.
  • Take part in and provide leadership in community, networking, and business development activities.
