The Audit Liaison serves as a central coordinator for the University of Virginia’s annual external audit process which includes three state agencies (University of Virginia, Medical Center, and College at Wise). This role is responsible for managing audit timelines, coordinating deliverables and facilitating communication between auditors and University Stakeholders to ensure smooth, efficient audit process. The Audit Liaison works in close partnership with Financial Reporting, the Controller’s Office, General Accounting and functional units across the University to ensure audit requests are fulfilled accurately and on time. This position plays a critical role in aligning stakeholders, tracking progress, and ensuring audit readiness across the enterprise. The position reports to the Assistant Vice President for Finance and University Controller and requires strong project management, collaboration, and communication skills to support a complex, multi-entity audit environment.
