About The Position

Lane Gorman Trubitt, LLC (LGT) is a middle-market regional public accounting firm located in Dallas, Texas, with around 140 employees across assurance/audit, tax, accounting, and consulting services. The firm is affiliated with PrimeGlobal, an association of independent accounting firms.

The Audit Intern performs assigned audit procedures on engagement sections and supports other work needed to complete audit engagements. The internship is an in-person role, with work performed at client locations and up to 40 hours per week. The estimated internship dates are January 10, 2028, to April 14, 2028.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a four- or five-year college or university accounting program.
• Have completed Intermediate II by the time of the internship.
• Provide own transportation to and from local client sites.
• Be able to work in person up to 40 hours per week.
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing with clients, taxing authorities, partners, and peers.
• Have basic working knowledge of GAAP.

• Have completed an Audit class.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned audit work at client locations.
• Help prepare audit reports, federal income tax returns for corporate entities, and audit workpapers.
• Assist in drafting financial statements.
• Draft engagement and representation letters.
• Enter fixed asset additions.
• Set up binders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
