About The Position

Lane Gorman Trubitt, LLC (LGT) is a regional public accounting firm founded in 1950 and located in Dallas, Texas. The firm has approximately 140 employees and provides assurance and audit, tax, accounting, and consulting services. The Audit Intern performs assigned audit procedures and supports other work needed to complete audit engagements. The internship is in person and is estimated to run from January 10, 2028, through April 14, 2028, with the possibility of working up to 40 hours per week. Requirements

Be enrolled in a four- or five-year college or university accounting program.
Have completed Intermediate II by the time of the internship.
Provide own transportation to and from local client sites.
Be able to work in person up to 40 hours per week during the estimated internship period of January 10, 2028, to April 14, 2028.
Effectively communicate orally and in writing with clients, taxing authorities, partners, and peers.
Have basic working knowledge of GAAP.

Nice To Haves

Completion of an Audit class is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform audit procedures on assigned sections of engagements.
Perform audit work on site at client locations.
Help prepare audit reports, corporate federal income tax returns, and audit workpapers.
Assist in drafting financial statements.
Draft engagement and representation letters.
Enter fixed asset additions.
Set up binders.
Perform other duties as assigned.
