About The Position

Cherry Bekaert, a leading accounting and consulting firm, is seeking an Audit Intern for Summer 2027 in Torrance. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain insight into the public accounting profession and build a strong foundation for a career in accounting. Interns will work on various client engagements, apply accounting knowledge using firm technology, shadow audit professionals, and participate in team-building and training initiatives. The role also includes a marketing or research project and opportunities to engage in social activities like happy hours, lunches, and community service projects.

Requirements

• Juniors or seniors enrolled in an accredited accounting or related program, two years from graduation
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel
• Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.
• Cherry Bekaert will not provide work sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

• Work for multiple supervisors on a variety of client engagements
• Apply accounting knowledge while performing client work using Firm technology
• Shadow Audit professionals of all levels
• Participate in team building and training initiatives
• Participate in and present on a marketing or research project
• Attend social functions: happy hours, lunches, community service projects and other outings
