About The Position

The Audit Assistant provides a broad range of administrative tasks and organizational support to the Audit & Advisory team. This role is a permanent, full-time position located remotely in Yonge and Eglinton, Toronto. The position is for an existing vacancy with a start date in October 2026. The salary offered is between $65,000 and $75,000.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work with numbers
  • Ability to understand basic accounting
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with strong prioritizing and follow-up skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and able to liaise with clients, staff and outside parties
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven editing and proof-reading skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with input from many stakeholders
  • Ability to cope in a deadline-driven environment
  • Available to work overtime, when required
  • University degree/College Diploma an asset
  • 2-4 years administrative experience
  • Experience working in a professional office environment
  • Must have extensive experience dealing with professionals of all levels
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Caseware, Caseview, and Taxprep is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior level administrative support to Partners, Managers & Professional staff
  • Prepare for yearend by creating Caseware files for new clients, rolling forward Caseware files and tax returns, drafting engagement letters, making sure comparative figures in financial statements agree with issued prior year financial statements
  • Importing trial balances
  • Process client related charges for financial statements and T2 charges
  • Keep track of upcoming client year ends and monitor and maintain deadlines in Mavenlink
  • Follow up on outstanding client-signed forms and statements
  • Format, edit and assemble financial statements and related correspondence
  • Print/assemble tax packages and process e-returns
  • Issuing conflict checks and inputting and maintaining client information in CRM
  • Conduct quality review (accuracy, completeness, appearance) of outgoing correspondence
  • Organize and coordinate internal & external meetings, etc.
  • Organize and coordinate T1 processing review requests from Canada Revenue Agency
  • Generate WIP reports, collaborate with the Finance team on billing preparation, and oversee the distribution of client invoices
  • Maintain up-to-date contact information and directories for Partners
  • Assist and coordinate various client-related projects
  • Organize client gift baskets, and other client relations initiatives, working with marketing as required
  • Assist partners and managers with client meeting presentations as required
  • Liaise with Canada Revenue Agency on various client issues
  • Prepare expense reports
  • Other administrative duties as assigned
