Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA within 6 months of hire. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires successful completion of the rehabilitation technician training program within 3 months of hire.
  • Requires familiarity with patient lifting and handling procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Rehab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs inventory management of audiology supplies and devices for patient use related to hearing aids and cochlear implants.
  • Participation in appointments with assisting patients during testing and device activations under the direct supervision of the clinician(s).
  • Maintains and cleans treatment areas and equipment.
  • Participates in operational aspects of the department and maintains performance improvement activities as required.
  • Participate in all infection control, department equipment training, regulatory compliance, organizational safety and fire safety programs.
  • Orders, distributes, programs and maintains designated and appropriate inventory of department related supplies and devices.
  • May perform limited scheduling, customer service and some clerical duties.
