Audiology Assistant Physician Practice
About The Position
Within Franciscan Health, The Audiology Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of duties, all while working collaboratively with the provider. This position assists with patient needs in face-to-face and telephone interactions under the direction of the provider, as well as performs administrative, clerical, and support functions. Requirements
- Required High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year Audiology

Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments in the computer system; gather relevant information and obtain prior authorizations.
- Assist with answering patient inquiries and resolve issues in consultation with the provider.
- Clean and sanitize treatment room(s) and instruments for the next patient.
- Enter data into computer for programming of devices.
- Greet and escort patient for the provider.
- Triage patients for hearing aid maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Assist in fitting orientations and gathering information on case history before testing.
- Input and maintain various logs, such as daily charges, patients seen, hearing aids sold, monthly expenses and e-Orders.
