About The Position

This is a part-time position for an Audio Visual Technician. The role requires providing audiovisual support for presentations and live events, with a preference for experience in a higher education setting. The technician will need to troubleshoot and adjust AV equipment, work with student team members, and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• High school or General Education Development (GED) diploma and 2 years of progressive experience in the audio-visual technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience providing audiovisual support for presentations and live events, preferably in the higher education setting.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of audiovisual equipment and computer software systems.
• Ability to work with student team members and work effectively with clients.
• Strong computer skills and software skills (Mac & PC), including Powerpoint, Google Slides, Zoom, etc.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Excellent listening, speaking, and written communication skills.
• Must be responsible, self-motivated, personable, well-organized and professional.
• Flexibility and ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of current AV technology systems and equipment.
• Basic knowledge of audio and video conferencing, video streaming software and equipment.
• Hands-on technical skills and aptitude for troubleshooting and adjusting AV equipment.
