This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting all AV/projection/lighting/conferencing equipment, devices, and systems. The role involves overseeing the setup of AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms, ensuring all AV equipment is fully operational, and performing necessary repairs or cleaning. The technician will label broken equipment, communicate issues to management, and manage loose wires and cables. Responsibilities also include checking delivered equipment and room setups against Banquet Event Orders, communicating changes to management, and assisting guests with AV equipment usage. Upselling AV services and monitoring equipment operation are also key duties. The role requires breaking down, removing, and securing equipment when not in use, and adhering to the Marriott Visual Productions (MVP program) SOP book. Additionally, the position requires following all company safety and security policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service. The role involves physical tasks such as reaching, grasping, manipulating, moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, as well as visually inspecting tools and equipment. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by supervisors.
