About The Position

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking an Audio/Visual Technical Support Specialist to support a major national laboratory. This role involves setting up and operating production equipment for video streaming events, including cameras, microphones, and mixers, in large auditorium environments. The specialist will also be responsible for setting up network connections, using DAs to split signals, operating computer field recorders, and digitally archiving and transcoding film and analog/digital video. Additionally, the role includes creating metadata files, post-processing digitized files, interacting with customers during live streaming events, and providing assistance to media library and archive customers. Equipment updates, configuration, and maintenance are also part of the responsibilities. The position requires working effectively with team members and independently with minimal supervision, supporting live events, video production, recording, and presentation streaming in various environments.

Requirements

HS in relevant discipline plus minimum 1 years or more years of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance
Must be US Citizen

Responsibilities

Set up and breakdown for video streaming events
Operate production equipment in large auditorium environment (camera, mic, mixer, etc.)
Set up network connection
Use DAs to split signals
Operate computer field recorders
Digitally archive and transcode film and analog/digital video
Create metadata files
Post process digitized files
Directly interact with customers during live streaming events
Provide assistance to media library and archive customers
Assist with equipment updates, configuration, and maintenance

Directly interact with customers during live streaming and auditorium events, and large VTC and Teams meetings
Work effectively with team members and independently with minimal supervision
Live events, video production, recording and presentation streaming in both auditorium and conference room environments.
