About The Position

We are seeking an Audio-Visual Programmer to join our Video Services Support team. The Defense Logistics Agency's Video Services Support Division manages video and audio communications for the agency. The program manages video services for maintaining, installing, and integrating Audio Visual (AV) and Video Teleconference (VTC) systems, alongside user training and support for Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and Digital Signage (DS). The VTC infrastructure spans across various networks and locations, with over 650 endpoints supported by approved components and configured for Full HD 1080 display. Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level I Baseline Certification
  • CompTIA A+ with Continuing Education (A+ CE)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA-Security)
  • Certified Network Defender (CND)
  • CompTIA Network+ with Continuing Education (Network+ CE)
  • AMX Programmer (NetLinx) Certification
  • AMX Programmer (Networked AV) Certification
  • Crestron Masters Certified Programmer – Silver level minimum
  • Secret – IT-II (Tier 3) Non-Critical Sensitive Clearance with a favorable NACLC.
  • U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Develops, designs, and modifies programming system code for Audio Visual (AV) and Video Telecommunication control systems, with emphasis on AMX and Crestron platforms.
  • Provides programming support for integration of new AV and VTC equipment, including modification of programming to support firmware and software upgrades.
  • Applies knowledge of room design and configuration to ensure optimal AV system performance.
  • Works with the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative to ensure a user-friendly operating environment for controlling AV equipment.
  • Provides user training to ensure proper system use and care.
  • Delivers daily support for AV equipment.
  • Collaborates with the Video Operations Center to test firmware updates and upgrades prior to deployment to AV/VTC systems.
  • Manages all source code, including creation and maintenance of a version-controlled repository.
  • Maintains all source codes, firmware, and program files on the VTC Engineering–provided shared drive and/or repository.
  • Assists in testing integration of system components into system builds, deployments, and ongoing support activities.
