About The Position

This role serves as a Senior Admin Support/Project Information Specialist, encompassing Facilities and Audio-Visual Management for Conference Rooms, Training Rooms, and Business Center Management within the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). The position requires a minimum of 10 years of administrative management or relevant work experience, a college degree in business or information management and/or related certifications, and proficiency in commercial software packages like Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. The responsibilities include administrative and organizational management, information and records management, technical and IT proficiency, audio-visual and facilities support, and task and problem management. A Secret clearance is required.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of administrative management or relevant work experience
  • College degree required in business or information management and/or related certifications.
  • Proficient in the use of commercial software packages and databases, such as Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience in creating and implementing organizational or administrative management policies and procedures
  • Experience evaluating program effectiveness and recommending improvements
  • Experience providing training and technical assistance to staff
  • Experience with other administrative services like office management, building and facilities management, human resources, and/or security
  • Experience in information and records management
  • Proficient in the use of a variety of IT programs, databases, and computerized systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to innovative and quality customer service
  • Experience providing on-site technical support, troubleshooting issues with AV equipment during events such as microphone and monitor connectivity; presentations or visual material access
  • Experience creating and editing audio-visual content such as presentations and videos
  • Experience setting up conference, board, or training rooms
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex problems
  • Physical ability to move a large number of files and/or file boxes

Responsibilities

  • Manage facilities and audio-visual equipment for conference rooms, training rooms, and business centers.
  • Provide on-site technical support and troubleshoot AV equipment issues during events.
  • Create and edit audio-visual content, including presentations and videos.
  • Set up conference, board, and training rooms.
  • Implement organizational or administrative management policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to staff.
  • Manage office management, building and facilities management, human resources, and/or security.
  • Manage information and records.
  • Utilize a variety of IT programs, databases, and computerized systems.
  • Manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Identify and resolve complex problems.
