About The Position

MCS is hiring for an Audio Visual Lead Technician in Orlando, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. The Audio Visual Lead Technician must demonstrate experience with A/V, Data, Voice, Networking, and Fiber cabling. The Audio Visual Lead Technician will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.
  • 5+ years of Audio Visual, Low Voltage, or Control Systems installation experience.
  • Ability to travel to project sites outside of the Greater Orlando Area.
  • Strong understanding of commercial A/V systems, structured cabling, networking, and fiber optic infrastructure.
  • Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • The ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly is crucial.
  • A current passport is required for Overseas travel.
  • Candidate must exhibit a professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation and enhances productivity in the workplace.
  • Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Candidate must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with various external customers including government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels.
  • Candidate must be able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the company.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10/30, BOGEN, CTS, Creston, AMX, or Extron certifications desired

Responsibilities

  • Terminating, Testing, Soldering, and Dressing all Low Voltage Cabling.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Using Scissor Lifts / Boom Lifts.
  • Train, mentor, and develop junior technicians.
  • Traveling to project and user locations around the Greater Orlando Area.
  • Working flexible hours including nights and/or weekends.
