About The Position

Albany Technical College seeks a well-qualified, highly motivated individual to fill the position of Audio Visual - Event Technical Specialist. Under general supervision, the Audio Visual Event Technical Specialist will provide assistance to faculty and staff for instructional delivery, computer networks, interactive whiteboards, and multimedia workstations. He/she may facilitate educational training and assist with maintaining an inventory system for all audio/visual and technological equipment. He/she will be responsible for coordinating equipment setup for events on campus, at the Phoebe Living Learning Center, and assisting in the operation of audio/visual equipment for other campus event locations. The Audio Visual – Event Technical Specialist must demonstrate theoretical and practical experience in web-based technology applications, including on demand and streaming video capture and processing. The candidate must possess customer service, written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and organized, willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings & weekends, and be a self-starter.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree AND three (3) years of work related experience (Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis).
  • Theoretical and practical experience in web-based technology applications, including on demand and streaming video capture and processing.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and organized.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings & weekends.
  • Self-starter.

Nice To Haves

  • At least two (2) years of work related experience in an educational environment.
