About The Position

The AV Implementation Project Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Audio-Visual solutions within a global corporate environment. This role combines deep technical engineering expertise with project management leadership to ensure AV systems are designed and installed in alignment with customer requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in AV technologies and infrastructure, paired with proven experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects from inception through commissioning.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of progressive experience in AV project management or implementation engineering within large enterprise or corporate environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent AV projects with competing priorities, budgets, and stakeholder groups.
  • Hands-on project management skills: scope definition, schedule management, budget control, risk mitigation, and formal change management.
  • Experience working alongside corporate real estate teams, general contractors, and allied trades throughout the construction and fit-out lifecycle.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to influence without direct authority across diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for project tracking, budget management, and dashboard-driven reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications: CTS (Certified Technology Specialist), PMP (Project Management Professional).
  • Agile or ScrumBan certification (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent); practical experience applying iterative project delivery frameworks in an AV or technology infrastructure context.
  • Experience with enterprise collaboration platform deployments, including Cisco Collaboration (Webex Rooms, Cisco endpoints, and call control infrastructure).
  • Familiarity with HP | Poly unified communications endpoints and peripheral ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of AV implementation projects, from requirements gathering and design review through installation, commissioning, and handoff.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets; proactively identify and mitigate schedule and cost risks.
  • Apply Agile and ScrumBan methodologies to manage iterative delivery cycles, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization across concurrent projects.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation — SOWs, RFIs, submittal logs, change orders, as-built records, and closeout packages — leveraging Excel-based tracking tools such as the AV Implementation Dashboard.
  • Facilitate project status meetings, steering committee updates, and stakeholder reviews; produce clear, concise reporting for leadership.
  • Evaluate customer requirements and specify the applicable AV standard, ensuring alignment with enterprise design guidelines and scalability targets.
  • Support the AV design engineering team in the deployment of video conferencing, digital signage, control systems, and audio distribution systems.
  • Review AV drawings, equipment schedules, and rack layouts for technical accuracy; provide design markup and engineering guidance as needed.
  • Oversee system configuration, programming validation, and commissioning activities; coordinate user-acceptance testing with business unit stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality assurance throughout the full implementation lifecycle, including pre-installation site readiness checks and post-installation performance validation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders including business unit customers and corporate real estate teams.
  • Partner with general contractors and allied trades (electrical, low-voltage, network) to coordinate AV rough-in, infrastructure, and final installation sequences.
  • Manage AV vendor and integration partner relationships, driving accountability against contractual deliverables, schedules, and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with AV manufacturing partners to ensure appropriate product specifications, lead-time management, and technical escalation support.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into accessible communication for non-technical business stakeholders.
