Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) is searching for Adjunct faculty to teach courses in music technology, audio ear training, live sound, multimedia production (including audio, video, and lighting components), audio for non-musical applications (including audio for video, podcasting, and game audio), and music business. This is a POOL position, with an immediate need for the Fall 2026 semester. Application materials for this adjunct position are accepted on an ongoing basis. The selected faculty member will provide instruction, activities, assignments, and assessments to adequately cover the Audio Engineering Department Student Learning Objectives for the specific course(s) taught. Teaching methods should emphasize application, cooperation, and collaboration, actively engaging students and encouraging independent learning with higher-order thinking skills. Content should be organized and explained appropriately for students with diverse abilities, preparation levels, and cultural experiences. The faculty member will assign and provide feedback for in and out-of-class work, monitor student progress, perform adequate assessment and analysis according to college requirements, and reflect on and evaluate their own pedagogy. Other duties as assigned.
