About The Position

The Audio Aesthetics & Technology department in the School of Communications is looking for adjunct instructors. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, teaching 1-3 courses per semester in the subject of Audio Media with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom. Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues. This announcement aims to solicit applications in order to identify a pool of adjunct faculty who are qualified to teach undergraduate and/or graduate coursework in various modalities. Teaching assignments vary based on departmental needs.

Requirements

  • BA degree and/or a minimum of five years of professional experience in the relevant industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Expertise in Foley artistry
  • Expertise in field recording
  • Additional teaching experience
  • Master's degree
