The New York Times is seeking an Audio Engineer to work across all current and future products in the Newsroom audio and video podcast portfolio. You will play a crucial role in our post-production processes, and play a significant role in the ongoing development of audio best-practices and video integration by working closely with the audio engineering team, show producers and editors, as well as New York Times reporters and contributors. You will be the main point of contact for one or more shows. The right candidate can demonstrate the ability to clearly discuss audio engineering techniques, and steer technical conversations with producers and editors. As a key player on the team, you will develop strong working relationships with producers and editors in a creative environment. In addition, you will be expected to have a working knowledge of NYT studio systems to provide tapings support as needed, and the ability to contribute adaptive and creative original music composition across NYT projects.
