About The Position

The Audio Department Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, staffing, logistics, and execution support of the audio department within a fast-paced live events production environment. This position manages both warehouse and show-site audio operations while leading a team of technicians and coordinating freelance labor resources to support ongoing productions. This is a full-time, in-person leadership role based in Dallas, Texas, offering salary compensation and a full benefits package. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in professional live event audio systems, strong organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to manage both operational workflow and field execution responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Several years of extensive experience in professional live event audio production required
  • Familiarity with L-Acoustics speaker systems required
  • Familiarity with DiGiCo audio consoles required
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills required
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to learn and operate rental inventory and operational software systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced production environments
  • Willingness to support both warehouse and field operations as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership or team management experience preferred
  • Experience using Finesse software preferred
  • Experience coordinating freelance labor and production staffing preferred
  • Additional experience in related disciplines such as rigging, electrical, installation, project management, inventory control, IT, trucking, lighting, or video is highly valued

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operational workflow of the audio department across warehouse and show environments
  • Lead, supervise, and support a team of audio technicians during both warehouse preparation and live event execution
  • Coordinate and schedule freelance audio labor to support production and warehouse staffing needs
  • Assist with field operations and provide onsite support for productions as needed
  • Oversee audio equipment preparation, organization, maintenance coordination, and deployment logistics
  • Coordinate with Operations, Production, and Sales teams to ensure successful show execution and efficient resource allocation
  • Maintain accurate inventory tracking and operational records within rental inventory and internal operational software systems
  • Support scheduling, labor planning, and departmental workflow management
  • Help maintain departmental standards for equipment quality, organization, and operational efficiency
  • Participate in troubleshooting, process improvements, and operational planning initiatives
  • Ensure strong communication between warehouse staff, freelancers, production teams, and management
