About The Position

A growing national auto auction is seeking a part-time Auction Vehicle Driver. This entry-level role moves customer vehicles safely and efficiently around the auction property and through auction lanes on sale days; it does not involve long-distance driving or vehicle delivery. Wednesdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. are required, with the option to work additional hours during the week depending on availability. There is no weekend work.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Able to work in indoor and outdoor operational environments.
Must pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
Take a hands-on, direct approach with customers and assist with their questions or concerns.
Park cars in the proper location based on the run number displayed in the windshield on sale day.
Start every vehicle in the assigned lane before sale time; lift the hood on vehicles that do not start and roll down or crack the driver-side window.
Ensure keys are in the ignition for all vehicles in the assigned lane on sale day.
Be in the assigned lane and ready when the auction starts.
Keep vehicles moving through the lane during the sale with all doors unlocked.
When parking a vehicle after it exits the lane, place it as close as possible to its original spot and ensure the windows are up.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Communicate issues that could be detrimental to operational success to management in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as necessary.
