About The Position

Cars & Bids is the fastest-growing online auction platform for modern enthusiast cars. Since launching in 2020, we’ve hosted ~40,000 auctions, sold over $800 million in vehicles, and built a deeply engaged community of buyers and sellers. We’re hiring an Auction Manager to join our growing team. This is a seller-facing, sales-driven role. You will personally own a portfolio of sellers and be accountable for guiding each one across the finish line — from submission to a successful auction result. This role is ideal for someone who has a deep passion for enthusiast cars and thrives on building relationships and helping people have a phenomenal auction experience.

Requirements

Proven sales experience with consumer products, marketplaces, or auctions
Strong emotional intelligence and confidence
Passion for enthusiast cars and understanding of how car buyers and sellers think
Knowledge of vehicle transactions, documentation, and ownership processes
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and focused on follow-through
Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication skills
Thrives in fast-paced, performance-driven environments

Responsibilities

Own sellers end-to-end, from initial submission through a completed, sold auction
Proactively call, text, and email sellers to keep momentum, remove friction, and prevent drop-off
Help sellers gather all required materials and guide them through getting their car live on the site
Set realistic expectations and negotiate reserves, including helping sellers adjust pricing when market feedback requires it
Ensure listings are accurate, complete, and professionally presented in coordination with Editorial Team
Maintain urgency and accountability to maximize sell-through
Deliver fast, professional, high-touch support at all times
