About The Position

Sonny's Place is locally owned and committed to providing safe, fun, and entertaining activities for families in Western New England communities. Since opening in 2008, Sonny's Place has continually invested in expanding its offerings, starting with a driving range and adding more attractions each year, including the Monkey Mayhem Miniature Golf Course and Bumper Boats. The company aims to strengthen family ties by providing opportunities for fun together. The Attractions Operator is responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of various attractions, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires full weekend availability during August, September, and October.

Requirements

  • Must be 16 years old.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Able to work a weekend, night, and holiday schedule.
  • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) for most of the workday.
  • Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more or less than 30 pounds.
  • Required to stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Clarity of vision.

Nice To Haves

  • Attractions experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the facility remains clean and orderly, including maintaining tidy workstations and cleaning restrooms.
  • Following all safety guidelines for each attraction and specific area while operating attractions such as the Arcade, Batting Cages, Carousel, Climbing Walls, Go Karts, Bumper Boats, Laser Tag, Miniature Golf, Monkey Motion, Playland, Soaring Eagle Zip Line, and XD Dark Ride.
  • Maintaining reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Adapting to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.
