Requirements

  • Active New York attorney license in good standing.
  • Experience managing plaintiff personal injury cases in both pre-litigation and litigation.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating claims, preparing demands, and negotiating settlements.
  • Hands-on experience with New York discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
  • Strong legal writing, client communication, and caseload management skills.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload
  • Strong client service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Leadership ability and self-starter mindset
  • Excellent writing and advocacy skills

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of personal injury / motor vehicle accident experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage plaintiff personal injury cases through pre-litigation, litigation, and resolution.
  • Evaluate liability, insurance coverage, damages, and case value to develop effective strategies.
  • Oversee pre-litigation case development, review demands, and negotiate settlements with insurance carriers.
  • Identify cases requiring litigation and prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery.
  • Conduct depositions and represent clients at hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
  • Prepare cases for trial and collaborate with trial counsel as needed.
  • Keep clients informed and coordinate with support staff to meet deadlines and move cases forward.
