KPMG’s Immigration Law practice is looking for an Attorney to join our US Immigration Law group. You will work in a dynamic, high-volume environment with opportunities for client interaction and collaboration. You bring proactive problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities, contributing to a client-first culture. Requirements

  • Completed Law degree from an accredited institution
  • License and admission in good standing to practice law in any U.S. state or the District of Columbia
  • Experience managing high-volume NIV and/or IV cases for corporate clients
  • Strong legal writing and technical knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and legal case management software

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of PERM labor certification preferred
  • Experience with consular immigrant visa applications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of U.S. employment-based immigration cases under strict deadlines
  • Supervise and mentor support staff, promoting a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and high performance
  • Provide strategic legal counsel on NIV and IV matters while ensuring compliance. NIV matters may include, but not be limited to, cases in the H-1B, H-1B1, L-1, B-1, TN, E-2, E-3, and O-1 categories. IV matters may include, but not be limited to, I-140 petitions in the EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 preference categories, adjustment of status applications, and consular immigrant visa applications
  • Prepare and review responses to Requests for Evidence, ensuring that responses are comprehensive and timely
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Conduct legal research and draft advisory opinions
  • Use data and reporting to monitor case progress, inform legal strategy, and ensure compliance with firm standards
  • Notify clients of immigration law changes and prepare alerts for publication
  • Stay current with developments in immigration law
  • Demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and a commitment to excellent client service.
