About The Position

Cullen and Dykman LLP is a full-service law firm established in 1850, dedicated to providing exceptional legal services in a dynamic and collegial work environment. We are seeking proactive and motivated litigators to join our team. This role is based in our Long Island office and offers immediate client contact and responsibility, with opportunities to work on complex litigation matters. The position is for a Litigation Associate or an experienced attorney for an Of Counsel role, requiring a minimum of 5+ years of tort and insurance defense litigation experience.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with excellent academic credentials.
Admission to the New York Bar required.
Minimum of 5+ years of tort and insurance defense litigation experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Professional judgment, problem-solving ability, and decision-making skills.
Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external clients.
Proactive, resourceful, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in tort and insurance defense litigation matters.
Handle depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.
Provide strategic counsel and assume responsibility for client matters from the outset.
Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop case strategies and deliver exceptional client service.
Manage multiple assignments independently while maintaining attention to detail.
