About The Position
National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation, offering a wide range of insurance products. This role is responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for complex automobile accidents. The adjuster determines coverage, liability, and damages, and negotiates claims within their authority. This position also involves mentoring junior employees. We are seeking an experienced Extended Handler Bodily Injury Adjuster for attorney-represented claims. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bodily injury assessment and coverage investigation, be highly adaptable, and capable of managing a heavy caseload while maintaining a customer-focused and empathetic approach. Strong organizational skills are essential. Familiarity with Colossus and experience handling Washington State claims are considered advantageous. Candidates located in the Central or Mountain time zones are preferred.

Responsibilities
- Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle for complex cases.
- Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department.
- Handles investigation regarding all aspects of complex auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with the exercise discretion and independence within increased level of authority.
- For claims involving injuries (if handled), learns how to review, evaluate, and negotiate moderate to complex injury claims.
- Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding other potential property damage.
- Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills.
