Gainwell has an opportunity for an in-house attorney with labor and employment law expertise to provide advice and support regarding labor and employment issues and disputes. This role involves providing strategic and practical legal advice to HR and business leaders on a broad range of employment law issues, including hiring, background investigations, disability accommodations, leaves of absence, compensation, performance management, disciplinary matters, terminations, workforce reductions, investigations, policies, training, outsourcing arrangements, and engagement of contractors. The attorney will also provide legal updates, guidance, and training regarding applicable federal and state regulations and statutes, and monitor federal and state labor and employment-related laws and developments. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing employment agreements, separation agreements, notices, policies, and other employment-related documents, overseeing employment-related certifications, and managing employment disputes and litigation matters.
