About The Position
Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP, a well-established and highly respected full-service law firm, is seeking a talented Trusts & Estates Associate to join our practice in our Albany, New York office. This position offers meaningful client contact and relationship-building opportunities, direct collaboration with experienced attorneys in a collegial, team-oriented environment, early responsibility with hands-on involvement in complex and rewarding matters, exposure to a diverse client base and varied estate planning challenges, and the opportunity to grow within a supportive and well-established regional firm. The ideal candidate will have experience in estate planning, estate and trust administration, elder law, and special needs planning. This role includes regular client interaction and collaboration across practice groups. Occasional travel to our branch offices may be required to meet client needs.
Requirements
- Admission to practice in New York (or eligibility for admission by waiver)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Nice To Haves
- 3–5 years of experience in Trusts & Estates, though candidates with other levels of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
