This role involves providing clinical supervision and dental lectures to residents in various dental programs, including Pediatric, General Practice, Orthodontic, Oral Surgery, and Dental Anesthesia. The position requires a strong understanding of oral surgery and maxillofacial surgery, including IV sedation, dentoalveolar surgery, maxillofacial trauma, orthodontic surgery, implant planning and placement, TMJ surgery, and major laceration repair. The attending periodontist will also mentor residents in QI and research projects, adhere to hospital policies, and participate in hospital committees. On-call duties are shared monthly with other Oral Surgery Attendings.
