The Attendee Development Representative is responsible for driving attendee growth, group participation, and paid registrations across assigned events. This role conducts high-volume outbound outreach to opt-in leads, past attendees, alumni, company contacts, and other prospective attendees to convert interest into registrations and support event attendance goals. This position combines attendee recruitment, group sales, lead follow-up, nurture activity, CRM tracking, and cross-functional coordination with Events Sales, Events Marketing, and other internal teams. The role is responsible for communicating event value, supporting company delegate package sales, identifying new audience contacts, tracking pipeline activity, and providing regular updates on attendee development progress. This is a front-line, goal-driven role requiring strong communication, follow-up, organization, sales conversation skills, and the ability to manage multiple event priorities in a remote work environment.

Requirements

  • Expertise in high-volume, multi-channel outbound sales (email, phone, LinkedIn, video) to drive attendee recruitment, group participation, and delegate package sales.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end sales pipeline—including prospecting, nurturing, overcoming objections, communicating value, and closing registrations.
  • Proficient in tracking outreach and registration progress using CRM systems, managing analytics/reporting, and handling basic payment, invoicing, and receipting processes.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple leads and event priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment, while dynamically adjusting messaging and strategy based on performance data and feedback.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills used to build strong rapport with prospective attendees, corporate contacts, and partners.
  • Highly collaborative mindset with the ability to sync seamlessly with Internal Event Sales, Marketing, and other departments to align on goals and forecast progress to leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, event management, or related field preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
  • Experience using CRM systems, sales tracking tools, reporting tools, or marketing/registration platforms preferred.
  • Experience supporting events, conferences, trade shows, media, B2B sales, or audience development preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach to individual opt-in leads, past attendees, alumni, and other identified prospects who have expressed interest in attending assigned events
  • Sell and recruit company group attendee/delegate packages to increase year-over-year company participation and attendee revenue.
  • Manage nurture sequences for assigned prospects, past attendees, alumni, and targeted audience segments.
  • Use CRM and other reporting tools to manage prospect activity, outreach status, pipeline, sales activity, converted registrants, and group sales opportunities.
