About The Position
The Attendant – Play Room is responsible for the safety, entertainment, health and well being of the children in the playroom. They will attend to the cleanliness of the toys and playroom equipment, as well as follow all safety and check in policies and procedures of the South Shore YMCA. Reports to: Director, Youth and Family
Requirements
- 1-3 years of related experience
- Must be motivated, upbeat and dedicated to creating a safe, engaging and fun environment for the children and families we service.
Nice To Haves
- Child Care Background preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provides careful supervision of children while engaging them in age appropriate play and activities.
- Ensures that The Playroom is clean, safe, adequately equipped, well maintained, and attractive.
- Assists in YMCA fund raising activities/events, and engages in collaborative relationships with community organizations in order to strengthen support and build community.
