About The Position

This role involves managing food and beverage items for guests, including listening to requests, recording preferences, and delivering items. The attendant will also be responsible for selling the hotel's experience to guests, working both independently and as part of a team to deliver room service orders, restock mini-bar items, charge guest accounts, and maintain inventory. Key responsibilities include ensuring proper product levels, conducting spot checks of in-room minibars, posting consumed items to guest bills, and completing daily consumption reports. The role requires learning and retaining food and beverage knowledge, using excellent communication skills, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and responding promptly via digital devices. The attendant must be able to enthusiastically describe mini-bar items, food dishes, and beverages, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in The United States.
  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Food Service Handler Card and TIPS certification that is currently valid for a minimum of at least 6 months.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a full-service hospitality establishment.

Responsibilities

  • Listen, record, communicate and deliver food & beverage items based on requests, guest history and preferences.
  • Sell our experience to our guests.
  • Deliver room service orders.
  • Record and restock mini-bar items.
  • Charge guest accounts accordingly.
  • Take and maintain inventory of stocks.
  • Maintain proper product levels.
  • Spot check in-room minibars including inventory-consumed items.
  • Post/bill items consumed to guest bills.
  • Complete consumption reports daily.
  • Learn and retain food & beverage and menu knowledge.
  • Use excellent communication skills with guests, staff including verbal, written and body language.
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized work environment including stocking of mini bars.
  • Communicate timely and in a responsive manner via digital device.
  • Execute fabulous guest service.
  • Enthusiastically describe details of mini-bar items, food dishes and beverages at time of delivery to guests.
  • Work well on a team or independently while being accountable for work performed.
  • Be a team player.
