Requirements

  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma
  • Minimum of six (6) months related experience, including: building maintenance and cleaning, event set-up and clean-up, building equipment repair, customer service and operational responsibility of facilities
  • Current Standard First Aid and C.P.R. “C” certifications
  • Ability to use tools and equipment properly and safely
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • A valid, satisfactory police criminal record check to work with the vulnerable sector

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and general maintenance/repair of the facility
  • Set-up and clean-up for rental/permit groups
  • Providing customer service and responding to the needs of the public and rental organizations
  • Facility supervision and operational responsibility
  • Providing leadership and direction to junior employees including job-specific training, guidance, and division of responsibilities
  • Completion of daily maintenance management records
  • Responsibility for opening and closing the facility
  • Operating building security system and performing checks on all emergency systems
  • Mitigating risks and ensuring the safety of all users and staff within the facility
  • Other duties as may be assigned
