About The Position

DSHS Lakeland Village - Attendant Counselor 1/Direct Support Professional. Lakeland Village Residential Habilitation Center has immediate openings for Direct Support Professionals on all shifts. In this role, you’ll coach, teach, and mentor adults in a supportive, home-like environment alongside a team dedicated to making a difference. You’ll follow Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) and Nursing Home regulations as part of an interdisciplinary team, promoting quality care and preventing abuse or neglect. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED OR one year of experience working with people with Intellectual/developmental Disabilities.
Employees driving on state business must have a valid driver's license.
Employees driving a privately owned vehicle on state business must have liability insurance on the privately owned vehicle.

Nice To Haves

An existing Washington State Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist adults with personal care needs, including hygiene, grooming, bathing, and toileting.
Provide direct care, support, and individualized training tailored to each resident.
Actively engage residents in learning opportunities that promote independence and daily living skills.
Support individuals with complex care needs through compassionate and consistent intervention.
Accompany and transport residents to on- and off-campus appointments and recreational activities.
Accurately document care provided and report any changes in condition or behavior.
