About The Position

The Attendant Care Worker delivers interactive, community-based mental health services to children and/or adults.

High School diploma or GED equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age and at least three years older than the youth.
Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first (based on location licensing requirements).
Kansas Driver’s License (if position requires driving)
Auto Insurance equal to or greater than the Kansas Insurance requirements (if position requires driving)
Successfully pass KBI, DCF, child abuse check, adult abuse registry, and routine motor-vehicle screens.
Strong organizational skills
Basic computer skills

Two years of experience working with adults or children in a health-related field.
Experience working in a KDHE facility.

Provide support services such as mentoring, emotional support, life skills training, and personal care to clients.
Complete timely and accurate documentation as per Health System/affiliate policy.
Interact with clients in a positive and supporting manner.
Coordinate with the appropriate clinical staff to facilitate the treatment plan outlined for the client.
Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.
Perform other duties as assigned.
