This role involves fulfilling opening and closing duties such as organizing necessary provisions and instruments, cleaning all equipment and areas, and locking doors. The attendant will check with the captain or supervisor before leaving at the end of the shift. Responsibilities include organizing, stocking, and maintaining work areas, stocking the bar with ice, glassware, and paper provisions, and removing dirty items from the bar surface and tables. The attendant must keep work areas, the bar, bar furniture, tables, and other instruments clean and in good condition according to established guidelines. The role also requires adherence to all company safety policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and completing safety training and certifications. Maintaining a neat and professional uniform and personal appearance is essential. The attendant must protect company proprietary information and assets, support all coworkers with dignity and respect, and work with the team to achieve common goals. Meeting quality assurance expectations and standards is also a key part of the role. Physical requirements include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than 50 pounds (22.50 Kg) or its equivalent without assistance. This involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or for the entire work shift. The role requires visually reading and verifying information in various formats, such as fine print. It also involves grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of various sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and good hand-eye coordination. Reaching above the head and below the knees, including bending, twisting at the waist, dragging, and tilting is necessary. Movement may occur on sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairways, including ascending and descending service stairways and/or ramps. The attendant must welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, speak to others using clear and professional language, and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette. Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors is also expected.
