About The Position

Minnesota Connections Academy (MNCA) is a tuition-free, online public charter school for students in grades K-12 throughout Minnesota. MNCA is a member of the Minnesota Transitions Charter School (MTCS), a K-12 academic community. MNCA is a state-approved online program operated through a contract with Connections Academy of Minnesota, LLC, to provide the educational program and other services. MNCA is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, an accrediting division of AdvancED. The Attendance Administrative Assistant I is primarily responsible for managing student attendance and ensuring that records are accurate for all students.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1–2 years of similar administrative experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications
• Proficiency with Google applications (Mail, Calendar, Drive, Hangouts, Documents, etc.)
• Intermediate skill level in MS Excel
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality (FERPA)
• Customer-focused approach
• High degree of flexibility
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment

Responsibilities

• Entering student attendance hours into Pearson Online Classroom.
• Reviewing reports and adjusting attendance based on student participation.
• Monitoring the attendance voicemail and email inboxes and promptly addressing inquiries.
• Collaborating with teachers and administration to identify and address attendance concerns.
• Accurately entering and managing student information into the state reporting system.
• Answering incoming front desk phone calls during periods when the receptionist is unavailable.
• Other duties as assigned.
