About The Position

The ATLAS (Adult Basic Education Teaching & Learning Advancement System) Operations & Content Integration Coordinator serves as a strategic bridge between the operational infrastructure of professional development (PD) and the delivery of content expertise. This role ensures that ATLAS communications and events are logistically sound, intellectually rich, and grounded in the real instructional needs of adult educators. The position manages high-impact communications, coordinates details related to statewide, regional, and virtual events, and provides specialized leadership in one or more content areas.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the MN ABE educational system and professional development priorities.
  • Specialized expertise in at least one of the following areas: ESL, Equity PD, Administrator Professional Development, or ABE Foundations and Onboarding.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Comfort with technology for communication and instruction, including Zoom & Google Drive.
  • Openness and ease with learning new platforms such as Canvas, Sogolytics, & Gravity Forms.
  • Familiarity and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in adult education.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to comply with and exercise best practices with regard to cybersecurity and the maintenance of confidential information.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in education or a related field.
  • Three to five years of professional experience in adult education, professional development, or educational leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with website maintenance & administration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the production and distribution of the MN ABE Connect newsletter and related communications.
  • Maintain the centralized events calendar for event promotion and registration.
  • Assist in maintaining the ATLAS website as a key communications tool.
  • Maintain the searchable online PD catalog for the MN Support Network.
  • Lead the planning and execution of regional and statewide in-person and virtual events.
  • Provide technical hosting, planning, and logistical arrangements for virtual events.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of evaluation processes for all events.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of Continuing Education Units (CEU) documentation.
  • Apply subject-matter expertise to priority areas such as ESL, Equity PD, Administrator Professional Development, or ABE Foundations and Onboarding.
  • Function as a member of the ATLAS team, participating in staff meetings and providing progress reports.
  • Represent ATLAS by presenting or facilitating sessions at conferences.
  • Host/co-host and support virtual events/workshops on Zoom.
  • Collaborate with the Budget & Grant Coordinator to provide on-site assistance and technical support.
  • Travel to ATLAS events across the state 2-4 times annually.
  • Represent ATLAS at adult education conferences and events.
  • Undertake projects during budget/reporting downtimes as determined with the Director.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
