About The Position

Brown University Athletics is seeking an Athletics Photography Assistant to photograph and edit images at live athletic events, including games and practices, as well as other events as they arise. Brown’s intercollegiate athletics program is located in Providence, Rhode Island, and includes 38 varsity teams and approximately 1,000 athletes competing in NCAA Division I and the Ivy League. The position is seasonal/intermittent, part-time, and onsite, with 10 scheduled hours per week. The successful candidate must complete a criminal background check satisfactory to Brown before beginning employment. Offers are contingent on successful completion of a background check and education verification. Employees must demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and comply with NCAA and Ivy League rules and regulations, and report violations or knowledge of violations to the appropriate parties. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Access to a personal camera and other photography equipment.
• Access to a personal computer for editing.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and education verification satisfactory to Brown University.
• Exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA and Ivy League rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Photograph and edit images at live athletic events, including games and practices.
• Photograph and edit images of other events as they arise.
• Perform the position’s duties in compliance with NCAA and Ivy League rules and regulations.
• Report rules violations, or knowledge of violations within the division, to the compliance office and appropriate parties.
